When I visited in 2018, it was like having my own private library to explore and discover books. The Owl’s Head Village Library is a volunteer organization with a self checkout system. It’s open on Saturdays, “or by chance,” and in the summers, your chances are better! It’s open in the evenings from 6:30-8 pm.
The Library had its start nearly 100 years ago when the Owls Head Village Library Association was created in late 1927. By Feburary, 1928, books were being lent from the new library.
The library is located at 31 South Shore Drive Owl’s Head, Maine.
