I highly recommend exploring the Owl’s Head Transportation Museum with someone from another generation. When I visited with my Dad, he broke into stories I’d never heard before, like driving his Ford Falcon around Portland in the ’60’s. We wandered around together, then we split up for a while, then we compared notes the whole way home in the car. We’ll be going back and bringing others. I’m especially excited to see a new exhibit (as of June 15, 2019) called Fads and Failures: “A world of touch-and-go tinkerers and undeterred dreamers…innocuous inventions and curious contraptions.”

Dad telling me stories from his wild child days.
