How do you think about Maine character?

A Master Maine Guide

I saw the documentary film, Guidedat the 2017 Maine Short Film Festival and loved it. The scenery  is gorgeous. Master Maine Guide Ray Reitze's relationship with the wilderness moved me to scribble things he said down in the dark at the movie theater. One of those things is the subject of this blog on Maine Character.

Love and Duty

Note: I originally posted this blog on the Shape Of Love: 200 Years In Maine film site for Veterans Day. I wrote it after I stumbled onto an unlikely scene and an experience that felt like running around in a dream I couldn’t understand but wanted to figure out before I woke up. It happened on November 6, 2018.

I was in Aroostook County on Tuesday and wanted to go somewhere I’d never been and see something I’d never seen. Mission Accomplished. And then some.
